Circa 1950

8.25" × 11" (Portrait)

Condition:

Condition grading is subjective. Please review the following description and photos (above) before purchasing.

  • The paper has a dry thin feel, which is typical and expected in authentic vintage prints. Over time, natural chemical aging causes the paper fibers to break down, resulting in reduced weight.
  • Light age toning and browning along the edges.”Colors are appreciable to vivid. Dulling/Fading of colors appears to be normal given the age of the print.
  • A portion of the original left margin remains and can be trimmed without affecting the printed advertisement.
  • Light cockling (natural paper waviness) consistent with age; the slight waviness is generally not noticeable once the advertisement is pressed flat in a frame.
  • There is a small stray ink mark above the Coca-Cola six-pack, consistent with the original printing process.
  • The advertisement was removed from a periodical, resulting in small staple holes along the lower gutter edge. These remnants may be trimmed if desired and do not affect the printed advertisement content.

Our Preservation Commitment

Yester Art does not intentionally dismantle complete, collectible publications simply to sell the individual artwork or advertisements they contain. Our original vintage prints are sourced primarily from pieces previously removed from publications or from publications that were already incomplete, damaged, deteriorated, or beyond reasonable preservation as intact historical items.

Whenever legally permitted, such as with public domain works, we prefer to preserve the original publication and scan its artwork rather than remove individual pages. Those digitized images may then be made available for licensing through Yester Art, allowing the artwork to reach a wider audience while the original publication remains intact.

Whenever a publication can reasonably be preserved whole, we believe it should be.

Share the art without sacrificing the artifact.
